Dave Bennett enters his 7th season of leading the Penn State DuBois men’s basketball team as the head coach. Dave served as the assistant coach for one season under Larry Salone prior to taking over the head coaching position in 2006. Under Bennett's leadership the PSUD Nittany Lions have captured the PSUAC Championship twice (2006-07 & 2011-12). His teams have advanced to the PSUAC playoffs in all 6 years at the helm and has competed in the USCAA Championship Tournament 3 times, most notably finishing 2nd in 2008 and 4th in 2010.
Coach Bennett is an excellent recruiter and evaluator of talent, as he emphasizes the term student/athlete with his players; runs a structured program with academics as the number one priority. Coach Bennett is also an adjunct faculty member of Penn State DuBois in the department of Kinesiology.
Coach Bennett earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in 1999 and a Master of Science degree in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania in 2009. He is employed by NAC Carbon Products, Inc. in Punxsutawney, PA where he serves as Plant Manager, responsible for production, planning, and process flow. Dave’s coaching career began in 2002 at East Stroudsburg South High School where he served as JV Coach/ Varsity Assistant until 2005.
Dave resides in DuBois with his wife Kaye and their two children, Courtney and Maddox. Dave and Kaye have been involved with various community organizations and have been instrumental in fund raising efforts for the DuBois campus.

Dylan Howard starts his 5th season as an assistant coach at Penn State DuBois, third as head assistant. Coach Howard has helped lead the team to the PSUAC Championship in 2011-12 ( he has won a PSUAC championship as a player and now also as coach). Coach Howard has been part of a coaching staff which has made the PSUAC playoffs in all 5 years; and has competed in the USCAA Championship Tournament, most notably finishing 4th in 2010.
Coach Howard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management/Marketing from Penn State DuBois in 2008. He is employed by Foradora Insurance in DuBois as an insurance producer.
As a player at Penn State Dubois from 2004-2008, Dylan was part of a PSUAC Championship and Runner-Up in the USCAA National Tournament in the 2006-2007 season. He was a team captain twice, three time Academic All Conference (PSUAC), 2008 First Team All Conference (PSUAC), 2008 Honorable Mention All American (USCAA), and second player in school history to score over a 1,000 points.

Coach Neil Hanes is a former player for Dave Bennett and graduate of Penn State in 2008. Neil was a member of the 2006-07 PSUAC Championship team which also finished 2nd in the USCCA National Tournament in 2008.
Neil is in his 3rd year of coaching with the Dave Bennet and is a valued asset to the program on and off the court. Neil played his high school basketball for the St. Marys Flying Dutchmen.

Jovan Brown is in his first year as assistant coach with Dave Bennett's staff. Jovan is finishing his degree in the PTA program in the Fall semester. Jovan was a tri-captain of last year's team which captured the PSUAC Championship and played in the USCAA National Tournament.
Jovan was known for his tenacious defense and high energy that he brought to the court. In 2012 Jovan became the 6th PSUD player to break the 1,000 point barrier with 1,051 points.
Jovan was named to the 2012 USCAA All-American (Honorable Mention) and earned PSUAC Academic All Conference recognition in 2010,11,12.
