A pitcher's duel during the USCAA Small College World Series took place tonight as the #9 seeded DuBois took on #4 seed PSU Mont Alto. Zach Tiracorda would get the call to start for DuBois. Through 3 innings both teams would remain scoreless, but the 4th inning would see DuBois bring in the first run of the game off a Cory Lehman single that would score Grant Lillard. DuBois would score another run in the 5th inning from a Colby Bodtorf RBI that would score Tyler Yough to put DuBois up, 2-0.
Tiracorda would pitch the complete game shutout for DuBois, giving up only 3 hits and striking out 8 batters. Lehman and Yough would each have a stolen base, and Dobson would hit the lone double for DuBois.
DuBois will play tomorrow at 3:00pm against the winner of the Bucks County Community College and UC-Clermont.
