Penn State DuBois Cross Country Teams Shine with Strong Performances
The Penn State DuBois men's and women's cross country teams turned in impressive performances this past weekend at the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational highlighted by the men's team earning a second-place finish in the team standings.
Men's Team Takes Runner-Up Honors
The men's squad showcased outstanding depth and consistency, placing six runners in the top 25 of a highly competitive field. Leading the charge was Jack Craig, who claimed a 6th-place medal, followed closely by Eli Fox, earning a 10th-place medal.
David Kunselman and Brady Means continued the strong showing, finishing 12th and 13th, respectively. Logan Meier crossed the line in 23rd, and Chase Hook rounded out the top DuBois finishers in 25th place.
Coach Creighton commended the team's effort, noting, "Our guys ran as a unit today. Having six runners in the top 25 shows just how strong and committed this group is. They've worked hard all season, and it's paying off."
Women's Team Delivers Solid Finishes
On the women's side, Jasmyn Williams and Rebecca [insert last name] led the way for Penn State DuBois in a field of 41 runners. Williams finished 19th, with Rebecca close behind in 20th, marking strong individual performances for the women's team.
Coach Creighton praised their effort, saying, "Both Jasmyn and Rebecca ran smart, steady races and continue to make progress each week. Their consistency and competitive spirit are great examples for the rest of our program."
With both teams showing promise and improvement, the Nittany Lions are building momentum heading into the remainder of the season and looking forward to continued success in upcoming meets. They next compete in the LaRoche Invitational on October 17th.
