The Penn State softball team played their round 1 game today in the 2022 USCAA Small College World Series against Carlow University. After Carlow scored 4 runs within the first 2 innings, DuBois started a comeback that saw them take the lead, 5-4 in the bottom of the 3rd.
Carlow would score 4 in the top of the 4th to take the lead back from DuBois, and that would be difference as DuBois would get shut out offensively for the remaining 3 innings.
Larissa James-LaBranche went 2 for 3 from the plate with 1 RBI. James-LaBranche, Makena Baney, Jordan Bundy, and Paige Pleta each hit for a double.
DuBois will play Tuesday at 12:00pm in round 2 of the World Series.
