The softball team hosted PSU Hazleton this afternoon in a double header matchup at Heindl Field. Hazleton jumped out to the early lead with a 2-run 2nd inning. They would score 2 more before DuBois would get their first run on the board. DuBois would score 1 run in the bottom of the 5th off a double from Madison Sitarek, and another run in the bottom of the 7th from a Sitarek single. Those would be the only 2 runs of the game for DuBois though as they would drop game 1, 4-2.
Game 2 would see DuBois on the board first as they would put up 2 runs in the 1st inning off of a Kelsey Stuart single that would score Sitarek and Abby Pentz. Sitarek would hit another double in game 2, and Stuart would throw a complete game shut out for the split with Hazleton.
DuBois will host Scranton tomorrow for a double header starting at 1:00pm.
