PSUD Women Pick Up 14th Win
The Penn State DuBois Women hosted Penn State Fayette and registered an 81-52 win over the visiting team. PSUD won for their tenth time at home while improving to (14-7) overall and (6-5) in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC).
Five players put up double figures with Morgan Silvis (Forest Area) and Melody Young's (Otto Eldred) 12 points leading the way. Gracie Hamilton (Northern Potter) and Hope Bridge (Punxsutawney) hit for 11 points while Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) had 10 points. Lauren Young (Bellefonte) hauled in a team high 12 rebounds.
"We limited them to one shot on many trips down the floor because our girls hit the boards really hard tonight. Rebounding and foul shooting played a pivotal roll in the win," stated coach Pat Lewis. The Lady Lions outrebounded Fayette 55-27 in the contest.
