Bowser reaches 1,000 career points in DuBois dominant round 1 playoff win
It was a night of celebration for the womens basketball team as they cruise past Penn State Fayette 84-51 in the first round of the PSUAC playoffs. In the fourth quarter of the womens basketball game, Junior Natalie Bowser hit a turn around lay-up that was assisted by Frances Milliron to reach her 1,000 career point, putting her in the 1,000 point club. Bowser has been nothing shy of a dominant force for the lady lions in her three years here at Penn State DuBois proving that she is one of the top players across all of the PSUAC and USCAA. The 3 sport athlete has been a staple for the lady lions as she currently averages a double-double per game with 12.8 ppg and 14.5 rebounds per game.
Senior Frances Milliron led the team in scoring with 25 points and 9 assists nearing a double-double, while Junior Elizabeth Hungiville contributed 14 points and 8 rebounds. Head Coach Pat Lewis and the team will take on a familiar conference opponent in Penn State Beaver in the next round of playoffs on Friday at 6pm. The winner of the game will head to the conference championship at Rec Hall on Monday Feb. 23.
