The men's basketball team travelled to PSUAC opponent Beaver this evening for what promised to be a fast-paced game that did not disappoint. DuBois won the last meeting against this opponent, but now had to play on their home floor.
Back and forth buckets would be traded until DuBois pulled away with a few minutes left in the 1st half to take the halftime lead, 49-37. Coming out of the half, Beaver would make a run, but DuBois would keep them at bay with some transition takeaways. DuBois would hold the lead to the end to win the contest, 88-73.
Beau Verdill led the way with 27 points and 15 rebounds, while Jaiquil Johnson added 20 points for the win. DuBois will play host to Shenango this Saturday with a tip time slated for 3:00 pm at the PAW Center in DuBois.
